Hey, I’m Ainesey
I’m a public health professional in training focused on improving how people connect with care.
About me
Objective
I am a Health Services Administration student at Santa Fe College preparing for a career in public health. My long-term goal is to help create meaningful solutions to complex health challenges, and support community-focused initiatives that promote healthy life styles and expand access to resources.
What I’ve learned
While creating this portfolio, I learned that professional growth isn’t just about credentials. It’s about understanding who I am, what drives me, and how I want to show up in my career. I learned how important it is to communicate my goals in a way that aligns with my values, strengths, and lived in experiences. Secondly, I also became aware of how much I have accomplished academically and professionally, even during periods of uncertainty and transitions. Lastly, I learned that building a professional identity requires patience; it is not a single snapshot and sometimes it is not linear, but rather a continuous learning journey.
My strengths
One of my core strengths is connecting with people. I thrive in collaborative environments and roles where I am being of service to others. Throughout my professional experiences, I developed strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to break down information in a way that feels approachable and easy to understand.
My Healthcare Talent Quotient assessment affirmed what I knew about myself. I excel in communication and organizational abilities. I have a team oriented approach, which allows me to stay focused and dependable. Together, I feel these skills will help me contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
What is next?
My focus right now is to successfully complete the Health Services Administration program while continuing to grow within my current workplace. I plan to strengthen my understanding of community health by volunteering with public health organizations like the Florida Health Department and the Red Cross. This phase is about staying curious, putting into practice what I learn, and getting involved in work that supports people where they are.
